Bingo History
Online Bingo Guide Bingo is relatively new in terms of its history in relation to other gambling games. Bingo's history started in France from a French lotto player who created an alternative version of the lottery. The first bingo version had 3 horizontal rows and 9 vertical rows with numbered and blank squares placed randomly. The columns were divided into groups of 10 numbers: 1-10, 11-20, and all the way up to 90. Chips were used as bingo balls, and were taken out of a sac by the bingo caller. Up until recently, bingo was never known by its name bingo. It was known as a lotto game. The name of bingo came by accident through the slip of the tongue when a woman shouted in excitement 'Bingo' instead of the usual 'Beano' word (commonly used during that time).

How To Play Bingo
To play bingo is very easy and doesn’t take much brains to learn how to play it. This, as well as the excitement of it, is the reason why so many people play it. Each bingo player buys one or more bingo cards. A caller randomly picks the numbers (75 or 90) and as the numbers are called out, all of the players check their card(s) to see if they have the numbers. If the players have the called numbers, the numbers are then marked off (daubed). The first player to get a card, pattern of lines or a line where all of the numbers have been called, then shouts "bingo" and collects the winnings.
